Brad Hendrix grew up in the Central Valley of California in a family of construction and trucking. As a small boy, Brad played in the dirt with toy trucks building roads and running toy trucks. As he got older, Brad worked in his father’s business in commercial construction, swinging a hammer and learning everything about building commercial buildings. As he began operating heavy equipment and driving trucks, Brad found his passion behind the wheel driving and operating anything.
Brad started driving trucks in 1985 over the road. For the next few years Brad drove for some local Fresno California companies hauling produce, refrigerated and frozen goods in five western states and Texas.
After learning all aspects of refrigerated transport, in 2010 Brad helped a friend build a successful trucking company from scratch in Jacksonville Florida. While driving coast to coast, Brad load planned and dispatched 5 trucks as well as took care of the accounts receivable, asset management and safety program for the company.
After going back to the construction and development world, Brad realized how much he missed his passion for the refrigerated transportation industry.
The dream of Hendrix Refrigerated Transport came in 2017 when thinking about how much he missed the team of drivers he had built at the last company and the relationships with Brokers, Shippers and Consignees.
The mission of Brad and HRT is and always has been three things. 1. Provide Service with Integrity. 2. Create an environment where every employee and partner feels valued and important. 3. Restore the perception of what a reliable and professional transportation company represents.
